While, I believe that this mission is vital to all creation, we collectively have not achieved this goal. Everyone can contribute just a few minutes of their time, let alone monetary donations. The importance of gifting in any form locally will make a difference collectively for our planet.

Don’t ever believe for a moment that you cannot bring a skill and the passion needed in your community to help out. Many will travel out of their own communities for worthwhile causes badly needing support elsewhere. Become aware of the need in so many legitimate charities, associations, and non-profit organizations that will benefit from your time, as much as financial support. Please give generously to your chosen humanity cause today.

Rotary Shoebox Project

Nogales, Sonora, Mexico

I’m very fortunate to be invited for participation in this very worthwhile project in Mexico through Rotary International. The greatest gift are the smiles of happiness from the recipients of this bounty that means so much to them.

These literal shoeboxes are age appropriate from newborns to 17 year-olds. Contents include basic toiletries, school supplies, clothing items (hats, mitts, socks), and treats. Additionally, other items distributed are coats, footwear, sports items, and blankets that are big hit usually provided locally. Parents receive food gift baskets with sometimes household items.
